Brian holds an MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering with German from the University of Sheffield, UK. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. Notably, Brian was named UAE Project Manager of the Year by Construction Week magazine.
Over more than two decades, Brian has built a distinguished international career across the Middle East, Europe and the UK, working with leading global consultants and rising to senior executive level. His blend of engineering expertise, project leadership and digital transformation capability has positioned him as a trusted figure in the delivery of major, complex developments.
Across his career, Brian has led multidisciplinary teams of more than 60 specialists spanning project management, design management, construction supervision, digital delivery and business development. He is recognised for his hands‑on leadership style, guiding projects from concept to completion, and was named UAE Project Manager of the Year by Construction Week magazine. His portfolio includes collaborations with globally renowned architects such as HOK, BIG, MVRDV, CallisonRTKL and HKR, and he has repeatedly been selected to take over and stabilise high‑profile projects at critical stages, including major government headquarters in the UAE and KSA.
Work
Brian has been instrumental in delivering some of the Middle East’s most ambitious and technically challenging projects. His experience spans tall buildings, large mixed‑use districts, offshore developments, entertainment destinations, cultural venues, retail megaprojects and major educational campuses. Signature projects include the 340‑metre Abu Dhabi Plaza in Kazakhstan, Damac Heights in Dubai Marina, the 1.5bn SAR Corniche Towers in Jeddah, the 400,000m² Msheireb Downtown Doha Phase 4 development, and the pioneering Sindalah Island project within NEOM, where he championed modular construction to overcome offshore logistical constraints.
He has led engineering delivery for landmark cultural and entertainment destinations such as The Green Planet (the Middle East’s first indoor tropical rainforest), Hub Zero (the region’s first immersive gaming park), and the La Mer Ring Show, the first offshore water‑screen media installation in the Middle East. His work also includes major commercial and institutional projects such as the TECOM Innovation Hub, Ducab Headquarters (achieving LEED Gold), EAIG HQ, and the 120,000m² expansion of Khalifa University, including Abu Dhabi’s first medical school.
Across all typologies — residential, hospitality, retail, offices, education, entertainment, infrastructure and mixed‑use masterplanning — Brian has demonstrated an ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex technical, logistical and stakeholder environments. His reputation for clarity, leadership and delivery has made him a key figure in securing and executing projects of national significance across the Gulf region.
